Proficiency Club Meeting October 2023

Join us for our Proficiency Club meeting on Tuesday, October 10 at 6 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Mark Sackett, the Air Traffic Manager for Control Tower at Centennial Airport. Mark will show a replay of the 2021 midair collision of 416DJ, a Cirrus SR22 and the Key Lime Air Metroliner here at Centennial Airport and how incorrect speeds in the traffic pattern can contribute to dangerous situations. He will then further discuss how ATC handled traffic prior to 2021 and how ATC handles traffic today.

In addition, Samantha Blymyer, will give a brief presentation on increased traffic/noise over the community, give a refresher on the noise abatement guidelines at Centennial.
