Balloon Fiesta Fly-out

Last year’s Balloon Fiesta fly-out was such a hit, we’re doing it again! We’ll depart Denver on Wednesday, October 11, and arrive in Santa Fe, NM.

Wednesday, October 11

We will depart as a group late Wednesday morning from Independence Aviation and fly to Santa Fe. Everyone will check in to the historic La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel in the early afternoon and walk around the town. La Fonda is the only Santa Fe hotel situated on the historic Plaza, sitting on a coveted location that is said to have hosted an inn since the 1600s. There are plenty of shops to walk around and enjoy in addition to art and history tours. Monday evening we will have a group dinner at one of the local restaurants. Continue the fun after dinner before settling in for the night

Thursday, October 12

Morning departure for the Balloon Fiesta in a private charter bus. All Balloon Fiesta tickets are included. At the Balloon Fiesta, the lineup of events is Dawn Patrol, Special Shape Rodeo, Balloon Launch, Fly In Competition Launch, and Chainsaw Carving Exhibition among many other shows. Return in the afternoon/evening. Free evening to walk around Santa Fe before a group dinner sponsored by Cirrus.

Friday, October 13

Friday mid-morning, everyone will check out and fly home. Check out the fall leaves changing colors on the mountains!

What’s Included

The package price for the Santa Fe Balloon Fiesta Fly-Out is $1,299 including:

• 2 nights stay at the historic La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel
• 2 group dinners with other Independence Aviation Members, Cirrus Owners, and Pilots.
• Balloon Fiesta tickets and private transportation to the Balloon Fiesta
• Transportation to/from Santa Fe Airport and La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel

Additional guests staying in the same room are $300. Aircraft Hobbs time and flight instructor time are separate.

Weather/Refunds

Independence Aviation will not fly or sanction flights in weather that is unsafe or for which the Cirrus is not rated. The weather at our departure location and our destination must be above published minimums in order for us to launch.

In the event weather does not permit a flight to take place as scheduled, Independence Aviation will attempt to find an alternate route that allows for the safe execution of the flight. If the weather causes the trip to be canceled, no refund will be offered. Any additional expenses incurred during the trip due to foul weather will be the responsibility of the customer.
