Sidney Goodrich is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where growing up near Kirtland Air Force Base sparked an early interest in aviation. That passion, combined with a love for travel, led her to a six-year career as an International Flight Attendant with United Airlines. During her time flying around the world, Sidney realized she wanted to take the next step and become a pilot. She went on to complete her flight training at United Aviate Academy in Goodyear, Arizona, where she trained in the Cirrus SR20 and Diamond DA42.

Sidney brings to Independence Aviation a strong safety-minded approach and a true enthusiasm for teaching others to fly. Her background as a flight attendant gives her a unique perspective on the full scope of the aviation experience, both in and out of the aircraft. She is committed to continually expanding her skills and knowledge, with future goals that include aerobatic training and backcountry flying. She also enjoys attending airshows as a way to stay inspired and connected to the aviation community. When she’s not flying, Sidney loves spending time outdoors—hiking, camping, and horseback riding—as well as relaxing with her dogs and spending time with friends.
