Balloon Festival

Join us for a fly-out to Santa Fe
Experience the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta as it celebrates its 50th year this October with fellow Independence Aviation members. Witness more than 500 balloons of all shapes and sizes fill the skies this fall.
This trip is not just for aircraft owners but also for renters who would like to fly with an instructor. Members in PPL training can use this as part of their cross-country training.
Independence Aviation members who have their own planes outside of IA are also invited to participate in this memorable experience.
Accommodations
We currently have a block of 10 rooms at the beautiful La Fonda on the Plaza hotel in Santa Fe, arriving Tuesday, 10/4, and departing Thursday, 10/6. Please call the hotel directly at 800-523-5002 to make your reservation.
Itinerary
Tuesday, October 4
We plan to fly out Tuesday morning from Independence Aviation and land in Sante Fe. There will be a group dinner on Tuesday evening at the Coyote Cafe.
Wednesday, October 5
On Wednesday, we will fly or drive down to the Balloon Festival, which is about a 45-minute drive.
