Taryn Harris, a Colorado native, began her aviation journey at United Aviate Academy in Phoenix, AZ, where she gained experience flying both the Cirrus SR20 and Diamond DA42. Taryn is passionate about helping new pilots build a strong foundation, especially in the technologically advanced Cirrus platform where she began her own journey.

Before pursuing aviation, Taryn followed another lifelong dream—playing professional ice hockey. She spent five years competing post-college, including three seasons in Europe. Her background in high-level athletics taught her discipline, teamwork, and the value of continuous learning—qualities she now brings into the cockpit and classroom.

When she’s not flying, you’ll likely find Taryn hiking Colorado’s trails, cheering on the Avalanche, or catching live music.
